Philanthropy for Young Global Citizens

Our Mission
Our Vision
Young Global Citizens
Young Global Citizens have the passion, talent, determination, and power to create positive social change when given the resources to address challenges they identify in their communities. They form a Team to research a problem or social justice issue, identify a solution, and implement a Social Action Project. The Foundation provides a Social Action Project format that guides them toward achieving their goals with the Team's Mentor.
Mentoring Network
Project Mentors provide guidance and expertise to the Team on all aspects of project development and implementation. The Mentor can be a classroom teacher, school administrator, counselor, service learning coordinator, parent, or a member of a community, faith-based, or other nonprofit organization.
Social Action Projects and Stories of Social Impact
Social Action Projects are the frameworks for creating positive social change. Stories of Social Impact demonstrate the outcome of the team projects.

Our Story
The inspirations for The World We Want Foundation are the moving stories presented in the award-winning documentary The World We Want. The stars of the film are motivated teenage activists attempting to improve their communities, their countries, and their lives.
Shot on location around the globe, the film shows young people working for changes that include banning teenage gambling, lowering taxation on artists, creating a town constitution, eliminating discrimination in schools, and securing clean drinking water. The film captures the teenagers’ dedication, determination, and empowerment as they work together to build The World We Want.
